Very factory-looking, Don!
Almost made me think I should put the a/c junk back in the 'Bomber. Almost.

Thanks - the AC actually works pretty good in my car. If it didn't, I certainly would yank it out though.

My John Muir VW book was autographed by Danny Sullivan. So what has that got to do with any of this? I don't know, I just wanted to let everyone know.

Ok, What Diameter is it???
I've been TRYING to find some kind of fitting that fits into the bulkhead vent hole, in vain.
Anyone know what diamter that hole is, or do I need to buy a 1 inch fitting and sand it down some to get it to slip in?? Conversely, anyone have a good picture of how the Kuhl vent attaches to the bulkhead?? Thanks! Chuck

Without going into the car and measuring it, as I mentioned in the first post, a 1 1/4" to 2 1/2" hose adapter from my Shop Vac fit into the vent hole. So I guess the ID of the hole is somewhere around 1.25", maybe a smidgen bigger (note precise measurement terms, important for the shade tree wrench).
Drop me a note is you have specific questions, and you might want to check out the whole story. Don

Link is to a homepage. I tried to search for vent, but none came up.

Muir was great...I split my first VW engine when I was 16 with his book. The writing was humorous, clear and hit all the right technical aspects perfectly for my adolescent brain.
Didn't know he had passed away. Thanks for the memories!
