custom hood crest
 

I hate to do this, but I've searched every possible combination and it's not coming up. I am almost positive there was a post by someone who was stripping hood crests and refinishing them in a matte silver and black. A friend has a C2 slate gray coupe and thinks this hood crest would look better than the original. (She replaced the gold center caps with the black silver ones which do look a lot better on the cup wheels...) Help anyone?

I'd like to know of who may be reworking the originals.

I believe the silver crests are made by a guy named Booth. I have one but not matte silver. I'll look to see where I got it.

This work? $225. I would recommend buying a factory gasket. I have the shiny silver one they sell as well. There is also an all matte black one too.

I am told that Richard Boothe previously made some of these items but apparently they come from somehwere else now.

Custom Hood Crests
 

There is a seller on Ebay from Germany that makes custom enameled crests. I just put one on my car in the german flag colors. His e-bay handle is michael_keil. I paid just over 200 for mine and the work is top notch. Here is a pic of the hood crest I bought.

I have the top one in black, it's bad quality.
And it's not flat so it wont lay nicely on the hood.
I forgot who the seller was, they're well known, but i've heard more than one complaint about their products here.
