Timing Chain housing Covers(update kit)
Wondering if anyone has any ideas about getting timing housing covers off for oil fed tensioners. Figured they would pop right off but they are bound up around tensioner hole. Housing is so thin I don't want to break it or damage it. I'd imagine the best way is to use a torch and heat it alittle. Any other ideas? Steve '81SC

They will take some effort. Just use constant pressure and they will pop off. Make sure to use new o-rings on the tensioner for the cover plates. Otherwise you will be doing it agian.

a light downward wack with a rubber hammer on the top seam gets them parted.
