Date My Fuchs
Just bought some 7&8 by 16 Fuchs for my 911. I found the date stamps and understand that they state the month and year, but what I found on the back of my Fuchs is "2781". I would understand any first two numbers up to 12 (for the months) but what does the "27" mean?
Thanks in advance, Panos |
Are they good looking? I'm cheap, not easy.

Fuchs dating
In Europe they use the week of the year something is built (1st 2 numbers) followed by the last 2 representing the year. I.E. made in the 27th week of 1981.
I may be wrong about Fuchs but I have seen this date coding system used before in manufacturing goods (tires possibly). DP |
Thanks, I think I have actually heard of that on the forum before but I couldn't remember. My searches could only bring up the month and year though so I was not too sure.
