				'67 original factory shipping cover?

looked at a '67 912 today. had a car cover that the owner thought was original to the car. no pics, but it was light grey-green with 6 ( I think ) black letters/numbers about 6 inches high, stenciled on the hood area. any thoughts? thanks, Don.

hmmm. . . the original Schutzschild from when the cars were tested? That was basically a bra that went over the nose section.

The letters / numbers were probably the license plate number. I have a cover like the one you describe from STARK MFG that I got with my first 944, it was sourced by the dealer here in San Diego ( Alan Johnson ) I kept it and use it on the 911. It is a perfect fit.
