hope i'm not too late to the party? I'd like one of the 3" extenders if you have any left.... I'm also going to order your shifter kit:)

Here's another, a WEVO lever extender, as a result of a customer request:

Here are a couple of before and after shots of Sherwood's extender (pictured above) installed on my Wevo Classic shifter. The knob is in a much better position and the added length is more than compensated for by the shorter throw of the Wevo unit. I also installed one of Ivangene's shift couplers while I was at it, and the total result is excellent. This is the way it should have been made.

A little more clean up, and some paint touch up and it's good. The knob came off easily. As you can see, it has a crack from previous removal (not me), so all it took was some twisting and pulling.

Thanks Sherwood.

Speak of customer requests… Any chance you would consider making some for us G50 owners? Same problem, slightly different shifter. Whats needed is a threaded shaft with a M8X1.25 male on one and female on the other and then of course the shaft turned to the matching OD of the lever.

I will be the first customer, and help with R&D if you are interested.

Cheers!

As Tonto said to the Lone Ranger as the Indians were circling, "What you mean ...........?"

I can look into the appropriate taps and dies for a one-off or, depending on the need/demand, batches of G50 lever extensions. I think early 911/912 shift levers use a threaded lever as well (male). Can you send me the OD of your G50 lever via PM?

I'll research, then PM you with some info.

Sherwood

I'd be interested in a G50 extender. Black, if possible. If not, I'll deal. Have rattle can, will spray.

Are there different length options?

G50 extension

Is the g50 extender still available?
Are there color/size options?
Thanks

Still make them. Spray paint to match your lever, typically after installation.

PM me for size options.

I received my extender and immediately and gracefully proceeded to convert my original knob to several smaller pieces.

The death of the factory shift knob was worth it as I love the position of the shifter with the extension. The extra length not only greatly improves the location but makes the shift action smoother and easier. Excellent value to boot. Thanks Sherwood.

This shift lever extension still available?

BayPawn 05-29-2019 12:55 PM

I'm interested in extending the factory 915 shift lever if these are still available. Thanks, Phil

Still available. Contact me for available options.

I bought the extension from Steve, very well made, super happy.

I installed the extension and then used black shrink tube over the entire shaft, looks super and you can't even tell it has extension.

Apologies for bumping an old thread. Tried emailing and PMing to no avail.

Any chance you still have an extension on hand for a 901 shifter, Sherwood? Thanks in advance!

Sherwood passed away and I don't think anyone is selling his products.
