Replacing screen washer jets?
Ok, I know its miner, but any clues as to how to get the old jets out?
Is it a twist and pull thing or snip them off from below with some sharp pliers and pull the old jet head off from above. Mine are U.S. and tacked on that bit harder by a previous paint job. Any one done this without pulling the heater out? Cheers James in Oz. |
The jets are held in by small barbs on the sides of the inlet tube. Use a long needle nose pliers to squeeze the barbs together and pull the jet out from the top.

Just like ossiblue says, at least if they're the earlier, non-heated versions. (which are probably similar as well).
Mine were stuck in there pretty tight and had to mangle them pretty good to get them out - but they're done anyway, once they're completely clogged... |
Thanks
Out comes the pliers then.

or other sharp objects to "press" with...they'll come out with no issues....you'll see the "tab(s)" that ossiblue mentions , from underneath...
