Bad 3.2 Oil line. Repair or Replace?
My tensioner oil line has developed a leak. Is this fitting repairable or does the whole line need to be replaced? Here is an Image.

I had to replace one this spring on the passenger side after re-using the existing part after an engine out rebuild on my 87. Both "looked" really good and hadn't leaked. Thinking your best bet cost and otherwise is to replace it. All the little ferrules and moving bits could be a bit worn over time and if something else leaks on re-assy, you'll regret it. I was able to get to mine in place on that side. Not horrible expensive.

Still the biggest problem is that line is on the back side of the thermostat. Suggest you consider replacing both lines and cut the nuts off at the thermostat with a die grinder so you dont ruin the threads of the thermostat by using a bigger wrench.

The starting point for fixing a(n) oil leak(s) is to clean everything so you can see where it's coming from.
