Help identifying this connector

Just wondering what this connector is used for? Tied in just before the LT rear tail lights. Not in use in my 78.

Same on mine (83/83).

Since the A/C was removed at some point, probably related.

That seems like a good guess, but the A/C compressor was on the other side of the car. Has anyone figured out which pin on the round connector it comes off of?

Possibly for a third brake light on the engine lid?

Actually that "floating" connector is on the A/C side on mine and my 3rd brake light is already rigged.

I'll check to see if I got one on the driver side.

I believe it is the rear fog light connector....not used if you do not need the Euro high intensity rear fog light.
