Post Stop the Madness!

Not that I don't enjoy an occasional thread on the social aspects of P-car ownership, but the reason I left rennlist was because it turned into nothing more than a social gathering.

Ok, so the polite request here is to invoke a thread(s) that is totally performance "high octane" related. Anyone interested in how crank fire ignition works, boost, torque, engine management, wild hp claims, anything performance related!

I agree that we need performance related threads. But I live in what I consider a remote part of California, and I like talking to other p-car people about everything. Whether it be a Porsche sighting, help with a problem, wild HP claims, K&N bashing, ricer bashing, just about anything.

OK, I'll bite. Where do I get a Ruf 6-speed for my '81 911SC for less than $2k?

I'm sick of my 915--and I just had it rebuilt.

Mark it is the nature of the beast that the majority rules on any message board and obviously this board enjoys a lot of social interaction. I for one think it makes for a closer group of members that a strictly "technical" board would. As for the complaint that this board is too social, I did a quick survey of topics in which there where posting for today, July 19. There are 40 topics. They break down to three categories:

17 postings strictly technical
13 postings about P-Cars of a general nature
9 postings that are social, off topic or about other cars.

That break down is not a bad mix.

Cool

This is why Wayne created the "Porsche Talk" and "Off Topic Rantings" message boards.

Lets inspire people to use them.

Nick.
