On my site, the bottom pic of my C2 seats...they aren't sport seats, are they? They have big side bolsters, but lack the lower bolsters that make sport seats so obvious. Just wondering.

See "Fat bottom girls" post. Every possible combo and angle is there. From turbos to SC's.

If you're going to do it, get 8" wheels with some spacers to really widen the stance. Otherwise, it is usually considered disproportionate--not just by me, but by general folks who, when shown a normal bodied car with a turbo tail suddenly 'don't like that tail on that car' even if they don't know exactly why.
When presented with a turbo and the tail, the proper proportions give it a completely different stance. On the same note, I do not like the look of speedsters. They look like turtles to me. They have the turbo flares with no tail. They need a tail of some kind even if it's just a small c2 type tail or a carrera tail. But being such rare cars, they are seldom modified and you will likely never see a tailed speedster.

Question: Is an SC now a "narrow" car? If so, what is a '67-'73 car?

Of course that doesn't count when you have 300 bloody horsepower under the lid!
All bets are off ![]() for me, I do not want to put the 'Carrera' badge back on my car when I get the decklid back. i want something different. I don't know what. Adam's '911' in chrome is very tempting. I'm going to see what's available. Maybe a retro "PORSCHE" painted on there, but then again, it's too close to the "PORSCHE" on the reflector. Something different tho And yes, Jack's very subtle "RS" would be it, even if I don't have the 3.6 yet, but for it being a cabriolet.

Too big to fail

Here's me @ ~ 21 with my first 911. I Just *had* to have that damn tail. In hindsight...
I think the ducktail looked better:

Thanks for the replys. I saw the Fat Bottom Girls thead. I think on my semi-narrow SC I will stay with the RS America tail look. The reason I am going to change is that I can't fit my intercooler in my small base RS America tail that I have now. So I will buy a big base RS America tail.
Thanks again Dean |

Thom? You did ALL THAT to a nice '72 Targa? Oh, geeze...okay, I'll forgive you. After all, you were 21...we all had our youthful indiscretions?

Why don't you consider a Carrera tail. They are a little smaller then the turbo tail and they look better too. The turbo tail belongs on a turbo. Then again it all boils down to what you like..Good luck..

I like the look of the one piece tails like RS America. The Carrera tail base might not be big enough for an intercooler also.

The carrera tail will NOT accomodate your intercooler i can tell you i try for ever the only way is to do some serious cutting and them some.
