'80 930 radio upgrade help

I'm in the process upgrading the radio on my '80 930 but I have a few questions.

My stock head unit didn't have a need for direct 12v only switched 12v. What's a a good place to get constant 12v for radio memory?

Also, my car came with a power antenna and 2 electronic boxes inline between the radio and antenna. See below.

The black cable on the above pic goes to the antenna. I tried disconnecting it but it doesn't seem posible.

What can I do to connect the antenna to my new radio? What's a a good place to get constant 12v for radio memory?

Thanks in advance

You can pull constant power right from the light switch. Use a "piggy back" connector to connect, real easy. Use a test light to determine which is the constant hot on the light switch. Typically, you would have switched power right from the back of the radio that would power the antenna.

Radio shack has these.

In most cases aftermarket installs of head units and AMPs require direct power (fused of course) directly from the battery. The stuck anntena connector may need a little PB or other penetrant

Thanks Stevie, the light switch looks like a good place for 12v. I think I'll piggyback to the same terminal as the power antenna.

As for the antenna, I just had to tug a littler harder. It's out now. Thanks again!
