Newbie well sort of
Hi all,
l've had my 911 for about 12mths and have been hanging around this forum for about the same period, but haven't formally introduced myself because l've only just moved into our new home with a garage, previously the cars been living at my father in laws so it actually feels like it's mine now. The car was sent to a well known Porsche shop in Bris Vegas by the previous owner, mine and a red one in which he wanted to set up for track days, but he went broke so they finished the black one and sold it to recoup some of their money. A full engine rebuild was done, Dansk exhaust,SSI headers,Simmon 3 piece wheels,Koni adj shocks, uprated torsion bars and full brake refit all quarters. Then the next owner fitted IROC kit and a Steve Wong chip.Since the rebuild 3yrs ago the car has done about 6k. l have had the usual problems but nothing l haven't been able to sort thanks to all the good folk in this forum. l've replaced the starter with a high torque, plastic welded the air box, done a full service, backdated the heater system and l am about to replace clutch slave and master cyls. There's no doubt l'll annoy you all with many more questions Cheers Gerry. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I believe that is the restricted vac orifice for the crankcase breather into the oil tank. It's what allows you to remove the oil cap to check the oil while the car is running without too great of a vacuum leak.
Very nice ride BTW. Looks like it would be a real kick in the head to drive!!

as stated in the link above, the part # is 930-207-243-00 or 01. They can be special ordered through a Porsche dealer. Some dealers will carry them, some won't. I found mine here in the States through a dealer in Phoenix. It is an inexpensive part.
