Energizing Gauges
Hi Folks,
I am trying to sort through a 1986 Carrera wiring harness and I would like to use a 12v power supply to make sure that I have the right wires. For example... If I put a voltage on the wire that feeds the oil pressure gauge, will it jump? Anyone know how to do this trick? I basically want to make sure I am splicing the correct wires for my 3.3T conversion I am attempting. THanks in advance!

DSPTurtle, buy a powered curcuit test light. It will check your the system and wiring without any damage to the gauges and it will cost much less than any of the gauges. Also great for checking ground curcuits.
