Got rear-ended.....body fixed, but new electrical problems.

I was hit from behind about a month ago. Got the car back a few days ago and now have electrical issues.

All turn signals/hazards worked prior to the accident. Now when signaling left the left brake light flashes along with the turn signal on the left and right side! The front left side light flashes, but the front does not.

When turning right only the right turn signal flashes, but only in the rear.

Then, today I got stuck at the grocery store. Car would turn over but not start up. Thanks to this forum and my wireless data plan I discovered it was fuel pump relay. The red cover had been singed and the contacts pushed away from each other. I pushed them back together, car started right up, and now I'm stuck at home. When I turn the key to the on position I do not hear the fuel pump, but the contacts on the relay I pushed together are still in contact with each other.

Any ideas what is wrong? Is it accident related, or did the body shop wire the car back together wrong? All of the rear reflector/taillights were replaced. You can see my accident thread here

Lighting problem

I think you have answered your own question...of course it is their error concerning the lights...Fuel pump and relay may be unrelated and only circumstancial but it is suspect. Do you have a new relay to try ? I pulled mine one day for a no start but turning over issue and the red cover came off in my hand. Car started though !! I now have 2 red spares..Good Luck
