New stock P front hood lock install question
 

Just received new stock Porsche 911 under dash front hood lock. Along with new "lock" handle is a "lock Bracket" # 911-511-725-43. It's dish shaped and I can't figure out how/where it belongs?? My 911 is a '77 which was not a factory supplied item. I may have to cut off old handle bracket?? The dish bolts to "hood lock" mechanism. No pictures in Bentley or 101 Projects that I could find.
