tire pressures for 205/50 and 255/35/17?

i have 17 x 7.5 and 9 fikses w/ some s-02 pps and i was wondering what the best tire pressure to run them at on my 88 carrera would be for street use.
i play the shoe polish game when i auto-x, but i don't really have a street pressure and i have heard a lot of conflicting advice.

all help is, as always, appreciated.

Hello

The air pressure is mainly relatet to the car and therefor is similat for all tiresizes. However some tires are different ( depending on Plyload & topspeedrating ) and the best is to ask the tire manufactorer or an expert.

A "good" tirepressure for the 3,2 is 2,2 atü front and 2,6 atü rear.
( Open enginelid and look at tire pressure sticker from factory )

Different brands require different pressures. For example I had BF Goodrich CompTA VR4's 205/225's that did very well with 28lbs front and 32 rear.I got new BridgestoneRE730's same size 205/225 16 and since the28/32 worked so well I ran that in the 730's.My front tires wore out at 18,000 ! ouch ! after some research and some trial and error I now run 34lbs front and 36 rear, much better ! Your SO2's should come in around the 32-34 front and 36-38 rear but this is just a starting point, you may find that going a bit lower like 32/34 will suit your driving style better so just write down your numbers and find a good road and see what works best for you
