Minimal suspension needed

OK! We are just about to send my brothers stripped out 87 coupe to the paint shop for its new paint. The engine and transmission are dropped and all suspension components have been removed. Because of parts ordering and timing, we may opt just to restore enough components to roll this car to the painters. Any suggestion on what you can do minimally to make this a roller. Upon return, we will then rebuild the entire car.

I can't tell from teh photo. Are you painting inside the wheel wells? If so, it seems that the front struts have to remain off the car so not much luck is roing it to the painters.

Assuming you're going to flatbed it to the shop, I would think that all you need for the rear is the trailing arms, and t-bars (w/spring plates) installed. You also have to install the stub axles into the trailing arms to keep from wrecking the hub bearings.

For the front, i'd have the control arms, t-bars, struts, and the steering rack w/rods loosely in place (you gotta be able to steer it around no?).

Once you get it to the shop, all of the above can be removed pretty easily to get it on a dolly so you can paint the wells.
