Clear Bra Removal?
I'm currently shopping for a used Cayman. Yesterday, I looked at a low mileage 2006 that has a clear bra front end protection film on it. In theory, I guess I like the idea, and would seriously consider the option if I were buying a new car.
But on this particular car, it seems to be turning yellow and just looks like a dirty film on the front of the car, which, it is. Also, it has served its intended purpose by taking a few stone hits. The result is several curly chunks of film and bumper plastic that look as if they would be difficult or impossible to touch up. Honestly, I think I would prefer if the car didn't have this stuff on it. I've lived with stone chips before. Can this stuff be removed? If so, would there be fading issues?

Heavy duty hair dryer to soften it, peel, then goof off on the remaining sticky junk. The clear is supposed to not cause fading.....

Easy to remove as long as the ambient temp isn't too low....could warm it with a heat gun or park in the sun for a while....
