a/c leak...?!
my 88 carrera must/has a leak in a/c system. wont hold freon. any suggestions on who/where i can get it diagnosed? have had 2 mech. tell me, min. $1000. live in ca. 95127 san jose. thanx

any half-competent a/c shop. they can put dye in the system which will show where leak is.

I just had my '80 SC's AC system flushed and fully refilled with R12 as well as had one leak repaired for the total cost of $337 at A&C in San Rafael (415-454-3071).
I suspect that you can locate someone in your neck of the Bay Area which is comparable (quality and cost). They used a sniffer to locate the leak and are good guys to work with. |
