Engine Oil Thermostate
Does anyone know how often internal engine oil thermostates go bad? And when they do do they usually stick open or closed. Or just open too soon?

mine went bad, but i have not read about many others. when mine went bad, my oil temp would be fine for a while, usually good for my short drives. even though my oil temp would sometimes go up, i did not realize anything was wrong, until i drove it long enough to see that it would go up, even under a normal steady drive, but would not come down.
now that i have changed it, my temp may go up sitting, in hot weather, but while driving it will come back down. i dont think i have seen over 210 under normal driving now, stock 2.7 with 11 blade, emissions crap removed, back dated exhaust and stock loop cooler.
