Who's running 245/50R-16 rear tires?

I currently have Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires on my '88 Carrera - 205s on 16x7 Fuchs in the front & 225s on 16x8 Fuchs in the rear.

I need new rear tires (fronts are fine). It appears that Goodyear only makes a 245/50R-16 tire for the rear (instead of the preferred 245/45R-16). In fact, I don't think they even make a 225 anymore, so I can't simply replace my rears with new 225s.

I don't want to get 4 tires. Is anyone running 245/50R-16s on 8x16 Fuchs on the rear of a Carrera? If so, please tell me about your experience with them.

I conducted a search & read several postings. I realize that 45s are preferred & that the 50s are about 1" taller, but I am interested in real-world experience with the 50s.

FYI, the car is driven mostly on the street + about 4 track-days a year.

Thanks for your comments & advice.
