Fresh Air blower?

Just got my 76 the other day and the PO had removed this from under the front hood as it was non-op.
Need a new-one, but what's the exact description?
Great news, I have a few months before I'm driving again!

You are correct- it is the fresh air blower installed at the rear of the front trunk. Before reinstalling, thoroughly check the motor, brushes and bearings, and install a 15 amp fuse to protect the circuit. Then check the other 5 blower motors: 2 footwell for heat, one engine compartment for heat, one evaporator for the A/C, and one condenser for the A/C, and fuse each.

Old P cars are famous for fires from these old (6) blowers.

(I'm referencing an '85 Carerra. I'm assuming your '76 is the same.)

No footwell blowers in a '76... none until '84.

Good chance he does not have AC either.

Correct on the no AC too.

The bearings seem fine.
New brush's? It's a common thing for me on the stator's of my BMW airheads, alot cheaper than a new motor too!

0-130-007-002-M14 is the part number for the motor only.
For an extra $67.50 you can buy it complete with fan. 911-571-320-32-M6.
Just fitted one to my car. Make sure the PO has kept the gasket (rubber sealing ring) that surrounds the assembly.
