Window seal adheasive?
 

Hi I recently bought my step fathers 83 911 targa. It has been in the family since 1985.

Anyway, while driving with the top off the passenger side aft window seal ( the vertical one) came off. My son grabbed it on the highway and pulled it off. I have the whole piece to reattach but I'm not sure what kind of adhesive to use. I'm inclined to use silicon but I wanted to check here first.

I'd use 3m weatherstrip adhesive. That's what most bodyshops use.

I ended up using:

3M Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adheasive Part #: 08008

This seems to have worked well.

Now I need to start plugging some oil leaks... ;)
