Another 6 pole kill switch question

Newbie question. I have a smugglers box battery relocation with the Rennline kit, and am installing a 6 pole kill switch in an 87 911. The big 4 gauge main circuit is obvious. I also wired the resistor line to save the alternator no problem. The question I have is about the 3rd circuit, ie the ignition interrupt circuit to stop engine run-on. Seems there is a smaller (12 or 14 gauge or so) wire that runs from the + terminal of the battery into the big wire harness in the trunk, and straight to the DME under the seat. Instead of wiring in to the ignition switch, is there any reason why I can't wire the switch into this DME power supply line. So I would have a lead from the + end of the battery going into the secondary circuit on the kill switch, and then from the kill switch straight to the DME. Thus, when the switch is pulled, the entire power to the DME is cut instead of just the ignition. It would be a lot simpler to wire it this way. Any reason not to do it that way?

I'd use the last pole to cut the ground or power to the DME relay, not the DME itself.

After doing a little more reading, I believe that's what I'm doing, interrupting the big 11 gauge 12V line directly from the battery to pin 30 of the DME relay.
