So the wife and I got a rare opportunity to have the day to ourselves. Both kids at work, house all cleaned up from that miserable slut named "hurricane Irene". I ask her what she felt like doing, figuring she would want to take a ride on the Harley. She responds with, "let's take out the convertible" (84 cab). Next thing I know we are tooling through some back road twisties, working our way from NJ west through the Delaware Water Gap and onto Rt. 209 in Pennsylvania. Stopped for lunch at a neat restaurant, jumped back in the car, music playing, more twisties, top down.....ahhhhhhh. And to think my son actually had me thinking of selling it to get a newer model corvette......not a chance kiddo.

There just is nothing like an open-top P-car, is there? Or a spousal unit who appreciates them?

Hey Motorcop,
You're right on. There's nothing like driving with the top down in a Porsche. Whether I'm driving a mile and a half to the grocery store, or driving across town.....you just can't beat it. Thanks for sharing.

You guys are all right. I have a great wife who supports my 911 "drug habit" ..I'm 3 months away from retirement and plan on putting a lot more miles for smiles on my cab when I do. Relocating to South Carolina next year where I won't have to put her into winter hibernation anymore......can't wait.
