Carrera Fan Issue

Was BSing with a buddy and I noticed this



Any one else ever have this happen?? It is a weeny car, not a track car and not a lot of miles.. Needless to say, he wants me to hunt up a replacement fan..

seen a similar thread about 1 year ago....your fan will need to be replaced. Try talking to Rick Bolus at Weekend Rides LLC, he should have plenty at a fair price. There might even be a few here on the classifieds, or even at EvilBay.

I'll talk to him, but I do know someone who has a couple of fans with chips in the back. I had never seen this happen before, even on track cars...

Maybe did too much cleaning with something that attacked the metal (like Simple Green)?

Looks like someone in the history of the engine pried the fan off and cracked it..the fan is not highly stressed there normally. Weird.

Car isn't high mileage and the fan has never been off the car..
I'm gonna try & find him one, all mine are older..
