I'm looking at building a new daily driver and have always wanted to build a porsche 911. I've never had a fast AWD car and with being in Michigan I am sick of only having the fun cars in the summer and want something I can drive year round without worry.
Most of my fast daily drivers i've had have been between 750-1k horse to the tire by way of forced induction (turbo, supercharger)

Wondering how capable these cars are? I was looking at the 996 911 turbo's.

I'm no stranger to whats needed for these high power numbers, but just wondering if its even possible with this chassi and keep it reliable and still functional as a daily driver.

engine - what components can stay and what has to be purchased aftermarket(block, crank, rods, pistons, heads, etc)

Can the stock ecu handle tunability of such large injectors and ignition timing control?

when looking at around 750 to the tire how bad of a lag would there be due to turbo spool?

tiptronic or manual transmission? Can either handle the power? What can? Anybody run a full auto?

driveshafts and axleshafts? Do they need to be replaced?

rigidity of the chassi...anything have to be done?

 anything im missing here?

if anybody knows of any already built cars i'd be interested in those as well!!
