The last time one of my switches did that it fell apart. :(

You can try to remove it from the panel to get better access to it and see what exactly is sticking.

I ended up having to replace mine.

+1

I would buy one before messing with it. I cannot remember if they pull out without removing the door panel. I think they might but I bet wire length will not be generous once pulled.

Identify your wires to terminal number before unplugging old one.

Here is the $38 Porsche one.

There is a $20 one

Read the reviews on these parts first. some negatives on both.

They pull out without removing the door panel. Do NOT disconnect the wires until you have the new switch right there. Move wires one at a time and you should be ok.

+1 Just did this on my 84 cab. Bought two switches from our host, (spare one in glove box) Carefully pull the switch from the door panel, remove ONE WIRE AT A TIME, transfer the wires from the old switch to the new one, reinstall the switch in the door panel. No need to remove door panel from door. Total time is under 10 minutes. Good Luck,SmileWavy
