Porsche zenith tin triple throat carbs 40mm experts please

My question regarding these carbs are this. Is there a left one and a right one. Are
they interchangeable simply by reversing the pump shaft and the cam to the other
end.

They may be reconfigured as you say since the throttle body castings are the same for left and right, the real difference is the location of the jetting and air taps for the smog stuff for the middle cylinder. It doesn't matter where the jetting bits are located, just a visual asymmetry.
