Wink At least Porsche doesn't have a Theme Park!!

From www.just-auto.com

"UK: Ferrari boss wants IPO
18 Mar 2002
Source: just-auto.com editorial team

Luca di Montezemolo, Ferrari's chairman, has told the Financial Times (FT) newspaper that he would like to see Ferrari launch a public offering on the stock market in order to fund expansion.

Mr Montezemolo told the FT that an Initial Public Offer would help fund the company's expansion into the entertainment field, including the development of 'Ferrari theme parks'.

Ferrari is 90% owned by Fiat and needs Fiat's approval for an IPO."

A freaking THEME PARK?! God, I hope Dr. Wiedeking doesn't read this one... Kinda makes the Pepper pot look like a smart idea..

I can just see the rides now...

The "Magnum P.I." - don the cheezy moustache, cheap shades, and drive around the streets of Honolulu in a Ferrari 308 like a madman! Chase down the bad guys, but don't run afowl of the law or Robin Masters!

Then there's the "Ego Extension" - try and keep your F50 under 10mph as you cruise the streets of Palm Beach during spring break lookin' for ladies impressed by a fast car who want you as their sugar daddy. Careful! Don't pick up any underage cuties!

And last but not least, the "Drunken Celebrity" - simulates the winding, snow covered roads around aspen. Extra points for running other drunken celebrities off the road, but don't wrap your Testarosa around a telephone pole!

Actually, I think Porsche has the record for most celebrities who've wrapped their Porsches around something: John Denver, Wil Smith, and that Chandler guy from "Friends"...

Cool

Hey Boyo,
You forgot the Miami Vice ride: drive as fast as posable through the streets of Miami doing power slides, burnouts, and launch your Daytona or TR over every intersection them marvel at how the bad guys can shoot up cruisers and buildings but miss the white TR right in front of them.

Doesn't Volkswagen already have their "Fahrzeug Stadt" (or "Motor Stadt" I think...)

If I recall correctly from the VW propaganda I recieved (as a result of buying a Golf years ago) this "Motor City" was a theme park of sorts.
