fogging inside instruments
Ive got moisure in 3 out of five (around edges)instruments on dash. Had car 4 months.first time ever. Clock and speedo were dry. any thing I can do?? Is it a concern? thanks

I am in Akron. Car in garage. Same thing yesterday. Ran car with AC on and it goes away. Humidity.
|
mine does the same whenever its humid and cool...spring and fall...my gas and tack gauges and speedo sometimes. goes away on its own when it warms up outside
|
Humidity from sitting took off a plastic coating the inside of the glass gauges had. Used a metal scraper and cleared it up. Haven't been able to drive the car to see if the humidity comes back.

It is a normal "design feature" on our quirky cars , it comes and goes with differing conditions (I believe you have just lost summer) as your gauges are a physical interface with the outside world and the warmer cockpit.
Over time you will come to accept what those with front engined cars consider a "fault' ;) |
I had the same problem over summer here. But haven't seen it all winter, i expect it will return in the next few months as our tropical summer returns.....I think it's normal.
|
As the others have said, it is certainly is normal on my car, especially when driving on a cool evening with the lid off. Cheers
|
i get it alot in the morning, goes right away though after about 20 minutes of driving...learned to live with it
