Read an article about this in R&T about a year ago. The "number of cars" post reminded me of it. How it works is that you add up all of the cylinders you own. V12's are a big help! Include lawn mowers, weed wackers, tractors, cars, motorcycles, etc. Doesn't matter if they run or not.
I think there was a scale to measure manliness that increased as the number of cylinders went up. OK, so lets have some fun. . .How many cylinders do you own? Think hard and you'll be surprised how the number climbs! (Slow day at work). Mike 94 C2 cab |

6 - 911
6 - 911 4 - jetta diesel 4 - toyota pu 1 - mower 1 - chainsaw 1 - weed wacker ----- 23 - total How about total displacement? Would that not be a truer measure of manliness? After all big 4 could have the same displacement as a little 12. And it would accomodate rotary engines. |

3 x 4 = 12cylinders for the cars. i love 4 cylinder cars the most. such a "raw" sound.
i dunno about having "lots of cylinders". i think the key is to get the most out of the cylinders you have! obin |

I consider myself to be only a caretaker of cylinders of a mechanical nature. I only "own" one cylinder, and it's dimentions are variable.

For cars, 18 cylinders and 16 manually operated gears! Can you figure out the breakdown?
