82 Sunroof deflector

I was doing some work on my headliner Sunday and noticed my deflector does not come up at all when the sunroof is open. It is quite noisy when the sunroof is open also. I am assuming it is supposed to pop up when open? Mine just lays flat, I can raise it manually but wondering if a good lubing is in order or what? Thanks

Same thing as Mine did! It is because they lay down on the job most of the time! It is only a few screws top get them out. I SPrayed mine with Brake cleaner then Triflon (Teflon impregnated oil) and cleaned it up and now it pops us immediately!
