Do yourself a favor and buy a new motor. I hear that it's quite common for the motors to seize up and start smoking or burning if you don't have an in-line fuse installed. Mine wasn't working a while back. Checked all the websites and catalogs. Up to $130 for just the motor and up to about $250 for the whole assembly. Went to a local parts store that specialized in VW's and Porsches. They got me a new Bosch motor for $60. Sometimes it amazes me how even the local shops here in Hawaii, and even the Porsche dealer sometimes, have really good deals on hard to find parts.

Thanks Rad. 60 bucks sounds good.

www.pap-parts.com has it listed in the electrical section of their 911 parts listing for $62.99. Not a bad deal. I would still check around your local shops to save yourself the money they might charge you for shipping/handling. Good luck.
