3.2 Engine into 3.0 Chassis - Fuel Lines
I've got a 1985 3.2 going into my favorite beater coupe, Butters! I've got the wiring sorted, etc., and I'm VERY close to stuffing the drivetrain back in so that I can start terrorizing the back roads! I've been busy making everything on the engine extra NICE before reinstall. I know, I know, it won't go faster but it will look DANG cool - LOL!
There's only one thing hanging me up... The pressure side fuel line between the 3.0 chassis line and the fuel filter (I'm A-OK from the top of the filter across and the return line is sorted out). This is the new fuel filter, the adaptor at the bottom is removed so you can see what it looks like, and the third item is a little doo-hickey that is the right thread and size on the bottom for the 3.0 chassis line but I think it may need to be a bullet-nose instead of a flat nose? That little odd adaptor will also thread into the original adaptor that came on that fuel filter. Sure seems like it needs a washer or something though... It looks like I just have the wrong adaptor. What do I need and where can I get it? ![]() ![]() Just in case it matters, here is a picture of the 3.0 chassis fuel line. It's a stock 1981. ![]() Thank you! angela

![]() ![]() I made up this hose assy............... ![]() to replace the factory one that is NLA. Use the fitting on the right as shown in your photo above and I will make a similar one for you. Or I can make up complete hose assys from the tunnel to the filter as done for Shaun 84 Targa & others. Len at Autosportengineering dot com ![]() Last edited by BoxsterGT; 09-18-2011 at 07:46 AM.. |
