Question rear window seal...

Perhaps you might know... I have a rear window seal with part number: 911 545 225 00 USE 911RS (I have an 83' SC). I took it from the packaging and found it is with out molded corners like my windshield seal has. When I put it on the window the corners bunch up. I don't want to put it in the car if the corners are going to have "wrinkles"... Does anyone know if the "wrinkles" will disappear once the seal is in place and the trim is installed? Thanks!!

i had the front and rears done last year ('86 coupe), and both seals were constructed similar, and looked similar - apart from size.

i would guess that yours should be the same. yours doesn't sound right. is it OEM??

Would it say OEM on the label? This one doesn't say anything but the part number... Thanks Dickster!

mines on the car now so its hard to say.

what you're describing is definitely not right though.

can you post pics??

where did you get it from?? it may just be a "bad"one, you could try another from the same source

when you lay it on the floor it must be sort of round then??!!!

Alright, I e-mailed the supplier and am awaiting a reply. I think it might be a manufacture defect. I visited a friend who has a rear seal with the same part number and has preformed corners... I'm guessing mine is bad and have to get it replaced. It is like a big circle. Here are the pics of it. Thanks once again for the advice, couldn't do it with out you!
