Sorry I was looking at the air sensor plate adjustment. Now I'm looking for the idle mixture screw, but I'm lost...........keep in mind I'm really good at driving a car but not good at fixing cars. Thanks for any help.

if the engine is in the car, you cant see it. You have to close your eyes, let your tongue hang out, and gently feel around for the sweet spot. Once you find it, you will never forget where it is.

Tried the whole closing my eyes thing but that didn't seem to do the trick, just spilled my beer.

It's at the left side of the fuel distributor. Take a small Maglight, focus it so that it makes the smallest spotlight it can, and shine it into the space between the airbox and the fuel distributor. You will see a depression, a hole right in the center of the very left side of the FD. The screw you're looking for is down there. You have to carefully drop the allen wrench's shank down there. You'll feel it contact the screw. Just turn it a bit until you feel the wrench drop into and connect with the screw. You're there. Adjust in very small incriments. It doesn't take much. I mean, tiny amounts. Here's a photo of the FD, out of the car, for reference. Oh, did I say turn the screw in just tiny amounts?

no one has asked? why do you need to adjust the mixture? if the mixture needs to be adjusted, i would find out what has changed, new air leaks mainly or fuel pressure problems.
