What year is the car? Does the car have any unique options, colors, etc?
If I had to guess I would say your car was ordered under "Special Wishes" where Porsche might paint a car from a color sample or make some other factory modification at a customer's request. |
its a black 92 968. I have been saking all over but havnt found an answer. It has some options but none out of the ordinary that I know of.

From the Porsche Web site:
At Porsche, every car we build is already an exclusive and highly individual work of automotive art. In recognition of that fact, it is only natural that each and every customer should be able to contribute directly to the design of his or her car. Which is why we established Porsche Exclusive, our factory-fitted personalization program now in existence for more than 20 years. Together with Porsche Exclusive, you can use a wide range of interior and exterior enhancements - including our special custom tailoring services - to create a Porsche as you've always imagined it to be. Because we never work to a set of fixed specifications, the process is remarkably flexible. Every modification is planned in close consultation with you, with virtually all items exclusively handcrafted for your individual car. The end result is a truly original Porsche, featuring your own personal selection of materials and colors. An individual interpretation of one of the finest sports cars in the world, with all the sporting appeal, classic elegance and distinctive design you need. What's more, as you're about to discover, the possibilities are virtually unlimited. So it looks like nothing specific - possibly a type of leather or carpet or a different set of wheels or colour scheme! |
