I don't have PS here at home.....but here is a light colored 911 that Revson drove.

Don't need PS for that - I did it in Preview on my Mac.

open the photo with preview-->edit-->add iroc stripes

Preview is not a PS replacement, but all the stars aligned for this request.

1.) The OP gave a base photo that was a straight side view, so no perspective was required.

2.) I have a Porsche-style font installed.

3.) The request was for black, not some custom color.

So I used Preview's Annotate tools to add the text (in Porsche font face), and the rectangle tool with fat lines to draw the rest of the stripes.
