Angry water in my car!

I caught a drip of water out of the corner of my eye today on the way home from work. I checked it out and there is water behind my headliner just above the passenger window close the windshield (A?) pillar. It doesn't appear to be coming from the windshield but I can't figure out where it could be coming from. Possible from behind the door seal? My seals are shot down by the door sill but they seem to be good everywhere else.
Anyone had water come in behind the head liner in this area?
I hate to start removing the head liner but I doubt that water back there can be a good thing.

Thanks,

I would say your front windshield seal in leaking. I understand the design is not the best, at least on my 81sc it's not. I bought a new seal for mine and found the windshield repair shops would install it for $100, but would not guarantee against leakage.
I don't drive my 911 in the rain anyway, so I'm going to leave it as it is.
Good luck

Sunroof?
If the drain tubes get plugged, water can back up and soak various areas within the interior.

I didn't think about the SR drain. I'll check there first. My old prelude had that happen. That would be a nice easy solution.
I don't think it's the windshield. It seems to be concentrated more aft. Thanks for the suggestions.

Don,
Some larger gauge nylon cord (as used in a Weed-Eater) works fine to push debris from the sunroof drain tubes. That, and a bit of compressed air should do the trick.

PS: Are you the same "Don 911" that's on my Rainforest Round-Up mailing list? If so, I'm looking forward to seeing you in July!

Doug,
That's me. We also met at Tyson's SSI clinic. I provided my "supervisor" services at the clinic. I hope to get to the drain tomorrow. After thinking about it more, I have noticed that I haven't had any water spots behind the right front tire so hopefully that's all it is.

Wow. . I thought this was just another Targa-Leak post!

Don - I guess you *DO* drive your Carrera in the rain.
kinda ironic that Doug is giving advice here, huh?

Update....I checked the sunroof drains. The drains on the corners of the sunroof are clear. Anyone know if there is a drain in the aft center?
I'm still getting water. Yesterday I noticed that the water comes in under braking. (after the car has been sitting in the rain) Water seems to be hanging out someplace and then when I brake, it comes in. If my drains are clear, I can't figure out where it could be coming from...other than a drain is plugged that I don't know about. I have new felt for the sunroof but have never installed it. I might try that next but I don't think the felt was designed to be water tight...though I could be wrong.
My Bentleys doesn't show much for the sunroof so I don't if there are additional drains.
Any help would be appreciated.

Island, That is ironic. and yes the carrera really does see all weather. That was a bad idea during last week's snow. On my way home from work, I tried to make a right turn and slid straight through an intersection. Good thing I had a green light or I'd be shopping for a new car.
