Thoughts on sender unit seal, broken stud
 

Hi Guys,

I installed a new seal today on the sender unit for my gas tank and after tighten everything down I over tighten one of the nuts and the studs that is on the tank snapped. It is towards the top and there is still some threads but I can not get a bolt on it.

Any thoughts on how to fix? Do you think that having the four bolts tight I am going to be OK or is the seal going to leak?

To fix would I have to get a new gas tank?

there was long thread on exact same issue about a month ago which you should be able to find with a search.
