Sad DP935 conversion?

Seriously....... Who would do such a thing like this?? What are the odds its a true DP conversion??

Looks like a great job and a great deal of money spent, just bad decisions.... Hurts me to look at it.... :(

Growing up in the '80's, I'm tolerant to DP's, Gemballa's, etc. - more so than most people - must be something here in Miami and loving Miami Vice back then (and now!)... Besides fitment issues and the loud yellow, the kit is fairly good and I like it. What I don't like is maybe longer: wheels (the worst combo possible), mirrors, tacky seats, 20" plaque, shark fin antenna, and the batman wing. BUT, all of those can actually be fixed.

I will defer to Playa 76 911S for the plaque on the sidez, but all in all a possible old school survivor with a questionable update. Kudos to whomever spent the time and $$$ on it - just not my cup of tea as it stands.

Were it a neutral color, with 10-12' fuchs on 15 or 16's, and a normal wing, it'd be a different story.

OttoB nailed it. I've got a soft spot for DP's. The real deal ones are neat to look at, but the devil is in the details,Can't ever understand why the originl 15" or 16" deep dish Fuchs or BBS or the like (ie. those 935 style finned, flat faced wheels) are replaced with hideous contemporary off the shelf, custom look large diameter junk wheels. They lack the rarity of the originals that really suit the car & bring out the true overall look. But like OttoB said regarding THAT particular one "BUT, all of those can actually be fixed." (& if there is a DP admirer/honourer out there with the means, thank god they might have the opportunity to bring her back from the gone wrong area) ;)

I also agree with Otto comments. I am also tolerant to some of these over top '80s conversions where at the time the aftermarket thought "more was more".

That conversion is quite good and has all the right parts. Some tacky blingy parts are on there and the color is awful but maybe in the right color and wheels might be much more appealing. To do this conversion someone paid a small (maybe "large") fortune.
