Unhappy Wheel Fitment ....HELP !

Mistakenly I posted in the 944 forum and thanks to those that corrected me...!
I'm looking at a set of OZ wheels for my 86 Carrera with a Turbo conversion ,I used to have a set of Fuchs 7&9x 16 factory wheels witch I recently sold, the OZ wheels are : FRONT 18"x8.5"ET 53 the Rears 18"x11" ET63 I know the offsets are a bit too much for any reasonable spacers just wonder how far I can push the spacing before it;s not safe anymore.

Now the Question is: what will be the correct size spacers I need for the front and the rear ,
I'll appreciate any and all wise honest knowledgeable comments ..!
Thanks to all inputs !

for fitment purposes i bought 5x5" - 7/16 off the shelf spacers ($11). i think its a gm bolt pattern but it is very close to 5x130. maybe get 4 of them and stack them on one side till you get what you want. then order/swap out for real spacers. obviously you would not drive on them other than a few inches to settle the car. i think you are supposed to have 8 turns on the lugnut for safety.

Those offsets are close to the factory Cup wheels. I had to use 1 inch front, 2.50 inch rear spacers to mount them on my SC. You will need wider than those to fit the OZs due to your wider fenders.

No matter what size you get you MUST either install longer studs or use adapters that bolt to the hub and then the wheels are mounted to the adapter.

Unless the wheels are a screamin' deal, I would look for a set that is closer to the factory offsets for your model. Just my opinion, of course.

What Wayne said, as you generally need 1" spacers for stock, late offset Porsche rims, when you add the Turbo flares, you add 2" to each side (SC/Carrera 9" vs 930 11" flares). You could get a set of 930 real trailing arms (that would give you 1" on each side then get some 2.5" rear spacers. It would be better to sell or trade off the OZs for something that fits..

Sorry..

I have some 3.75" adapters that were used on a Carrera with widebody conversion. The rear wheels were 18X11 997 Carrera S wheels. If they'll work, let me know.
