Heater Fan Always On

Hi All
In my '89 911 the passenger heater footwell blower just recently came even with both levers in the down position and won't shut off. Is there a switch that needs adjustment or replacement?

Thanks

Carl

Start with these recent threads...

Engine Bay Heater Blower has a GHOST
Running fan after engine is turned off?

Try some of the diagnostics described and let us know if that addresses your problem.

Just to make sure I'm describing the issue correctly the fan runs only when the key is on.

Yes, this would be with key "ON" engine not running, or with engine running. If FW blowers run with the key "OFF" you have other problems

play around with the limit switch within the heater pulls.... either one will turn on the main blower relay.

Thanks All for the responses- The issue has been corrected. First the lever contacts were cleaned and that stopped the intermittent issue, The 2nd issue was warm air was still entering the cabin even though both levers were down. I checked the flapper box and found the cable had come undone from the box and was not shutting completely. After reattaching the cable everything is working fine.

Thanks again

Carl
