'88 911 w/ turbo...what oil ?

Hi all ,
Just bought a light R/S fender hit 911 Carrera with 65k miles that's been sitting for 2 years with a couple of start ups in that time . 7k miles ago it had a turbo kit installed by Protosport in NJ...what oil do you guys reccomend ? I'm thinking regular dino oil for now just to run it and move it around and then semi-syn when I put it back on the street ? .Any thoughts appreciated...
p.s.
previous owner "unavailable" to answer questions so I'm going to be asking you guys quite a few through the winter as I get this childhood dream back to it's original glory...

Protomotive recommends Valvoline racing 20W-50 Dino for their stage I turbo, which is probably what Protosport installed. That is what I use and seems fine.

20/50 is the usual.
In the hot months I run
50w racing oil.

Thanks for the info .BTW ,what kind of HP does a Protomotive stage one typically show ?.I have spoken to Paul at Protosport and he had said that it was the best kit available ,I think he mentioned 1.2bar of boost ,chip ,injectors etc but I have a lot of questions and it didn't seem fair to tie him up on the phone with them (besides ,they of course want me to take the car there for a pre-start inspection)....any and all info appreciated

Hmmmm.... 1.25 bar, that would make it a Protomotive Stage 3. About 500 HP. You need to spend some time talking to the folks at Protosport. The Stage 3 involves major internal engine mods to change the compression from 9.5/1 to 7.0/1. You really need to know what you're dealing with. Also email or call Todd at Protomotive- if its one of his, he'll tell you all about it. Should be a great car.

The funny part is that I bought the car from a customer who had a lien on it and I originally thought it had a B&B "fake" twin exhaust and cold air intake ,yellowjacket nest in the engine bay made closer inspection risky ,when it finally got delivered to my house (sans wasps) I tried to figure out why the intake went under the exhaust ,I followed the plumbing and found a great big turbo !! with the wastegate venting through the L/S "fake" tailpipe..........yiiipppeeeeeee.

1.2 bar is a lot for a carrera motor,I'm thinking
you have some internal mods.
Why was it in storage so long?
Have you started it yet?
