Martini Colours ?

Hello all,

I want to paint my car in the martini colours. The car will be white and want to paint the bumpers in orange. Does anyone know the paint code for the orange they used ? Did a search but coulden,t find any colour codes.

That's a good question. I had looked into it and the orange is really more red, IMO. And the darker or navy blue is tough to match as well.

One of the 914 guys did a fine job. Try a post over there in addition.

Thanks Zeke i will post it on the 914 forum as well. I have a picture of a silver Martini 911 with what looks like orange bumpers, but maybe it,s red not sure either.

I took these pics at RRII. The first two pics were a privately owned "Mary Stewart" 911. The last pics was a factory museum car. It seems that the factory car has orange bumpers and a red/orange martini striping.

Orange? You probably mean red.

From the pictures posted and pics I've seen elsewere the red used on the Martini cars is Indish Rot. Indish Rot is red with an orange tint. It's the color on my car, so I know it well. I believe it was called Guards Red in the US.

But you really cannot tell an exact color from pictures.
I would e-mail GunnarRacing ( www.gunnarracing.com ) to get the right paint code. They have restored several Martini Porsches.

I think you are right about the red Ove ! Maybe it,s just the picture that makes it look like orange. Will send an email to gunnerracing and post their answer here
