Is it mounted to the trunk floor? Do you have a key for it? It appears to be the same style lock as the door.

I'm guessing that it's some sort of security device. Probably had a case / vault or that sort of thing that docked to it. Perhaps for something electronic, or a gun vault.

Just guessing, though.

Probably some smuggler owned the car before you...it probably opens a trap door that has a million dollars in cash...or diamonds....

My car had a similar bracket and lock. It held an old radio-telephone transceiver, which I still have.

That there's your Por-key hole. In case you ever need to repaint your Porsche. Mr Haney will be glad to sell you a Por-key to fit it.

Offered up for the benefit of anyone else who may have watched a stupid "Green Acres" episode forty odd years ago and gotten such nonsense stuck in your head for the rest of your life. Otherwise, please disregard.

I havent yet found that million dollars. Maybe it diamonds I should be looking for. I was told by a porsche mechanic that you could get an official porsche option for fitting a machine gun. This was for the door panel. I still find it unbelievable. Obviously it wasn't an option made available in many markets
