Dumb Luck
I was working on my wife's Audi and using a video from YouTube as a guide. I thought my iPad would be helpful so I took it out to the driveway. After a second it became clear that my phone was all I needed and I thought about a setting the iPad aside so that I could get to work. Should I take it back into the house? Should I put it on the workbench? No, I had a better idea.
I quickly realized that a trip to the hardware store was needed for some torx wrenches so I jumped in the 911 and took off. Coming out of the hardware store I realized how stupid I had been and I shot this pic. Luckily my iPad case has a magnetic cover.  It is a couple of miles to the hardware store and luckily the roads are in decent shape. It rode back there the whole way. Again, I avoided losing an iPad... |

Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Very lucky day indeed, therefore it was a GREAT! Day. Like we all haven't done something like that before. Very glad it worked out.

I had a friend who did something similar but was not that lucky. He ran over his IPad.

The Dude abides...

Did something similar...left mine on the roof of my car and drove home. That night I couldn't find it and figured I had left it on my desk in the office. Arriving the next morning I realized that was not the case and, since I work at a university, I figured I would call our public safety folks to see if it had turned up somewhere...no such luck.
Damn, now what. About two hours later I received a call from the local PD explaining that a passer by found it in the road and brought it to the station in an attempt to return it to its rightful owner. Talk about luck...

I had to turn my monitor sideways to fine the iPad!!!!
That would never happen to me........I would NEVER own and Apple anything.....now it could happen to my Android tablet or phone......could not resist!!!! SORRY!!
