78 911 SC G Light Flickering at Stop
Hello All
I recently became the proud owner of a 78SC, I have worked a lot of kinks out of it, though assume this will be a work in progress for the rest of my time with the little lady. Anywise, this morning on my way to work I noticed that the g light would light up when I came to a stop then turn off as soon as I accelerated. This happened multiple times on the drive. Would love some thoughts on what the issue is. Also, in the last few weeks I noticed that my clock runs fine while the car is running, but when I leave the car overnight it eventually stops running. Not sure if these two issues could at all be related. Thanks |

The issue with the generator light sounds like your alternator is on the way out. It could just be a loose fan belt, but I would bet on the alternator. Do you have a voltmeter that you can install into the car?

First, remove and clean/burnish the battery post/connections. Also check tighten the front/battery to rear/alternator inter-connection at the starter motor solenoid.
